Youth at Calvary is a great place for students to connect with peers and mentors while learning more about God and being challenged to grow deeper in their faith. At youth group, we have a great time eating meals together, playing together, worshiping together, praying together, and building long-lasting friendships. Our leaders are carefully screened, trained, and dedicated to investing in student’s lives.
Our hope is for students is to get to know God better in a safe, healthy, encouraging, and challenging environment. Our Milestone Retreats are an important way for youth to solidify their faith before heading off to the post high-school plans.
During the school year, our Middle School Group meets on Sunday mornings at 11 am and our High School Group meets on Sundays at 6 pm.
Students in grades 7-12 will participate in worship, sessions, and winter-themed games while growing in community and our relationship with Jesus. We will meet at Calvary on 1/12/24 after school and we’ll depart around 4:30-5 pm. We will stop for dinner on the way and arrive at Miracle Camp in Lawton, MI for the first session on Friday night. We will return on Sunday afternoon. Cost is $155 per person.
One of the key elements of Youth Group that makes us is that we always share a meal together. This has been made possible due to generous people like you who have provided food for our students every year.
Our Middle Schoolers meet on Sunday mornings from 11 am-12:15 pm and eat around 11:15 am.
Please plan for 50-60 kids and leaders.
Our High Schoolers meet on Sunday nights from 6-8 pm and eat dinner around 6:15 pm.
Please plan for 45-50 kids and leaders.
Meals do not need to be gourmet by any means and we try to keep it around $75/meal. It is ok if you go over $10/15, but we could not maintain that through both semesters. Some volunteers provide a dessert like ice cream or cookies, but that is not expected. We provide water and lemonade.
ALL MEALS ARE REIMBURSED IF YOU KEEP RECEIPTS AND TURN THEM IN TO AMY CADE (acade@yourcalvary.church).
