Casa de Luz (House of Light) is a Hispanic, Spanish speaking church plant on the south side of Lafayette with the North American Mission Board.
Calvary began partnering with Casa de Luz in 2021 and has worked together on community outreach events! Every year we co-host the Party at the Park with Casa de Luz and Second Baptist Church.
Meet Pastor Noé Tapia and his wife Lilia. Their mission is to reach the Hispanic community in Tippecanoe County with the Gospel. Noé and Lilia are from Guadalajara, Mexico. They have three children, Ashley, Caleb, and Sherlyn. God called them to the United States in 2001 and they have served in Hispanic Churches for many years before moving to Lafayette to plant Casa de Luz. Shortly after opening, Covid closed down in-person services and Noé & Lilia focused their energy on weekly Facebook Live services that reach over 13,000 people in countries like Mexico, Honduras, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, and others. Casa de Luz has since opened back up again for in person services and continues to cultivate a heart for the Lord in their community, congregation, and around the world.
